The Head of Risk will establish and enforce FINCA Uganda's enterprise risk-management framework across strategic, operational, market, liquidity, reputational, credit and compliance risks. The position provides risk leadership, reporting and oversight to management and board committees.

• Develop risk-management strategies and promote risk practices aligned with industry and regulatory changes.
• Monitor risk policies and limits and close significant risk-management gaps.
• Prepare and report financial and non-financial key risk indicators.
• Lead and support Risk and Control Self-Assessment processes.
• Provide independent risk review of business plans and report to board and executive committees.
• Upgrade risk policies, processes, analysis and management information systems.
• Lead and develop the Risk Management and Internal Controls team.
• Strengthen staff understanding of risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Credit, Finance or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in internal control, audit or risk management, preferably financial services.
• At least 3 years of management or leadership experience.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA/ACCA and postgraduate study are advantageous.
• Knowledge of enterprise risk management, Basel II, banking regulation, RCSA and business continuity.
• Fluency in English; willingness to travel up to 25%.
