FINCA Uganda is recruiting a Head of Information Technology to lead governance and oversight of its technology environment. The role aligns IT services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, data and digital initiatives with business needs, regulation and operational resilience.

• Develop and improve IT strategy in line with business goals and FINCA technology standards.
• Lead technology functions and maintain IT policies, frameworks and procedures.
• Oversee service delivery and critical banking applications.
• Manage infrastructure including networks, servers, storage, cloud and communications.
• Identify and mitigate cyber and technology risks and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Lead IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
• Oversee IT projects, vendor relationships, contracts and budgets.
• Lead, develop and mentor the technology team.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in supervisor, manager or senior management roles.
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, vendors and IT projects.
• Experience in a regulated financial institution, fintech or telecommunications is desirable.
• IT governance, risk, business continuity, disaster recovery and audit experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CGEIT, ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2 or CISA; master's degree is an advantage.
