About The Biomass Verification Supervisor Role
The Biomass Verification Supervisor supervises and coordinates every part of biomass verification: data capture, weighing and counting discipline, and floor-level operations. The role makes sure biomass data is recorded accurately and traceably in the YU Fish Count App, deploys the team during verification, and enforces hygiene, safety and security protocols.
The supervisor leads the receiving team of counters, weighers, suppliers, receivers, scoopers and ice boys. That means checking scales are tared, allowing only authorised users to submit data, escalating data issues, managing recounts and discrepancies, preventing batch mixing, running spot-checks and audits, training workers on correct procedures, and submitting shift reports with corrective actions. The role is graded M1 and sits in the Production division, with day-to-day work on the receiving floor.
Key Responsibilities

- Maintain traceability records and reporting discipline across biomass verification.

- Monitor counting accuracy, weighing discipline, hygiene and safe handling.
- Manage discrepancies and recounts, support crate release verification and prevent batch mixing.
