About The Credit Control Officer Role

The Credit Control Officer sits in the finance team at BPU Head Office and reports to the Credit Controller. Your core job is to make sure customers trade within approved credit limits and that goods are issued only against available credit or deposits. You will monitor daily customer balances, chase overdue accounts, coordinate collections and make sure payments are correctly allocated and customer accounts reconciled.

The role balances sales support with cash protection. You will keep customer master data current, prepare weekly and monthly reports on receivables, overdue accounts and credit exposure, recommend customers for credit limit reviews, and work with the sales team to resolve disputes that hold up collections. It suits a finance professional who is comfortable with ERP systems such as Navision, enjoys negotiation, and wants to work in Uganda’s poultry and agribusiness sector.
