Job overview

One Acre Fund is recruiting a Regional Innovations Supervisor for its Uganda programme in Jinja, on a one year fixed-term contract within the Product Innovations team. The role supports agronomy trials, extension work and farmer training across coffee, trees and nurseries, reporting to the Agronomy Lead. It is one of the more accessible agriculture jobs in Uganda because it asks for only 1 to 2 years of experience in agronomy, extension work or climate-smart sustainable agriculture, so it is open to fresh graduates with relevant field exposure. Familiarity with experimental design, randomised trials and basic statistics is expected. The role is open only to citizens or permanent residents of Uganda and includes health insurance and paid time off. The application deadline is 13 November 2026, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

About The Company

One Acre Fund, founded in 2006, equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine African countries it provides high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training and other agricultural services, and it says supported farmers increase income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent on average.

Its Uganda programme started in 2014 and serves more than 34,000 farmers with quality farm supplies and fruit trees such as avocados. The Uganda team is headquartered in Jinja, close to the districts it serves, with a small presence in Kampala.

One Acre Fund works mainly in eastern Uganda, in Iganga, Jinja, Kamuli and Buikwe districts, and is expanding into the Central region. The organisation employs more than 9,000 full-time staff.

About The Regional Innovations Supervisor Role

The Regional Innovations Supervisor helps One Acre Fund test and roll out new ideas that raise farmer impact. You will identify knowledge gaps, coordinate regional field trials and manage data collection from ideation through to rollout, with a primary focus on agronomy: trial monitoring, extension work and training, including nursery management, across coffee, trees and nurseries.

You will also give technical guidance to programme teams, design standardised data collection tools and support cross-department product rollouts. Regular field visits keep you close to farmers and to how operations really run. The role reports to the Agronomy Lead and offers weekly check-ins, mentorship, training and six-monthly career reviews, making it a good fit for an early-career agronomist who wants project management and research experience.
