Outlet Assistant Job Overview

Outlet Assistant is open at Yalelo Uganda in Mpondwe, Kasese District. Reporting to the Outlet Supervisor in the Sales department, the assistant will help run the fish outlet day to day: receiving and icing stock, weighing and packing customer orders, entering sales in the POS, keeping fridges stocked and the outlet clean and safe, and giving customers friendly, knowledgeable service. Key Responsibilities

• Help drive outlet sales and suggest initiatives to grow them.
• Deliver excellent customer service, including store appearance, fish display, stock ordering, SKU layout and selling.
• Follow up or escalate customer complaints until they are resolved.
• Receive stock, organise inventory and keep fridges stocked.
• Check fish quality and make sure it is properly handled, iced, stored, processed and packed.
• Take and prepare customer orders, pack them and enter transactions into the POS.
• Assist the Supervisor with banking sales, cash reconciliations and end-of-day stock reconciliations.
• Keep all outlet facilities and equipment clean to food-safety standards.
• Inspect the premises and equipment such as fridges, POS and weighing scales, and report safety concerns.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least a Credit in Mathematics at UCE and a Principal Pass in Economics or Entrepreneurship Education at UACE.
• Two years of experience in fish processing, handling or a related field is an advantage.
• Good customer care, English and local language skills, accuracy and willingness to work long hours when needed.

The role involves handling weights, standing for long periods and exposure to fish odour, with protective equipment provided.
