CIYOTA is a refugee-led, community-driven nonprofit in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It supports refugees, internally displaced people and marginalized youth through education, skills development, leadership and entrepreneurship. Official organisation website.

This 12-month Employability Associate placement supports CIYOTA's Human Resource Manager with day-to-day HR administration. The recent graduate will gain practical exposure to staffing, employee records, compliance and staff development, with mentoring and an upkeep stipend.

• Log applications and help prepare recruitment shortlists.
• Schedule interviews, take notes and communicate with candidates.
• Assist with reference checks, document verification and onboarding.
• Maintain confidential physical and digital personnel files.
• Track attendance and leave and support employment-law compliance records.
• Organize HR policies, templates and forms and help communicate updates.
• Coordinate training schedules and maintain training records.
• Support performance appraisal, staff engagement and exit processes.
• Draft routine HR correspondence and compile workforce trackers.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a related field.
• Aged 18–35 and graduated within the past three years.
• Currently unemployed and available full-time for the one-year program.
• Resident in Uganda/Kampala for the placement.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; willingness to learn and work collaboratively.
