CIYOTA is a refugee-led, community-driven nonprofit in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It supports refugees, internally displaced people and marginalized youth through education, skills development, leadership and entrepreneurship. Official organisation website.

This 12-month Employability Associate placement, described in the posting as Media & Content Officer (Communication Associate), supports CIYOTA's media production and storytelling. Based at the Kyangwali field office, the role captures and edits visual content and helps manage CIYOTA's public-facing communications.

• Photograph and film CIYOTA events, school programs, community visits and field operations.
• Edit, retouch and prepare media for web and digital channels.
• Develop written and visual stories about impacts in displaced and host communities.
• Draft blog, newsletter, press-release, social-media and annual-report content.
• Coordinate content schedules and routine digital posts.
• Design graphics and print/digital collateral consistent with brand guidelines.
• Maintain an organized, backed-up media archive.
• Coordinate media coverage for partners, donors, stakeholders and community activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies or a related field.
• Aged 18–35 and graduated within the past three years.
• Currently unemployed and available full-time for the one-year program.
• Resident in Uganda/Kyangwali for the placement.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; willingness to learn and collaborate.
