CIYOTA is a refugee-led, community-driven nonprofit in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It supports refugees, internally displaced people and marginalized youth through education, skills development, leadership and entrepreneurship. Official organisation website.

This one-year Employability Associate placement supports CIYOTA to make its programs, services and workplace more accessible and gender-responsive. The recent graduate will assist with inclusion across the project cycle, capacity building, partnerships, protection and monitoring under close supervision.

• Support gender and disability inclusion in project design, delivery and monitoring.
• Identify access, communication, attitudinal and institutional barriers and promote reasonable accommodation.
• Support inclusive education, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, leadership, protection and MHPSS activities.
• Collect and safely manage gender- and disability-disaggregated data.
• Help develop accessible training and awareness materials and facilitate sensitization sessions.
• Support collaboration with organizations of persons with disabilities, government and civil-society partners.
• Improve accessibility of safeguarding, complaints and feedback channels.
• Track inclusion indicators and document consent-based learning and reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, Disability Studies, Development Studies, Special Needs/Inclusion, Human Rights or a related course.
• Aged 18–35 and graduated within the past three years.
• Currently unemployed and available full-time for the one-year program.
• Resident in Uganda for the placement.
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; willingness to learn and work collaboratively.
