Support the Deputy Construction Manager North in ensuring contractors understand and follow company/project standards and procedures for civil works and structural fabrication/installation. • Support the Deputy Construction Manager North in ensuring contractors understand and follow company/project standards and procedures for civil works and structural fabrication/installation.
• Oversee civil and structural work against detailed engineering designs, specifications, quality-assurance requirements and contractual scope.
• Act as the primary supervisor for a site area: coordinate construction work-front sequencing with contractor area managers and superintendents, and support adherence to the Level-3 construction schedule.
• Conduct site visits, assess contractor workmanship and progress, intervene to keep delivery aligned with schedule, and monitor workforce productivity.
• Prepare performance reports, forecast performance and manpower needs against physical progress, identify productivity constraints and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate interfaces among the company, contractors, subcontractors, civil/structural representatives and other disciplines; raise issues that could affect project objectives or completion.
• Work with QA/QC personnel on quality and progress, attend required daily/weekly/monthly meetings, and compile discipline reports for construction leadership.
• Comply with project HSE rules and contractual requirements, protect the environment and monitor environmental performance.

• HNC or equivalent education; a recognized safety course such as NEBOSH or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 12 years of experience in oil and gas/petrochemical industry, specifically infrastructure or construction projects.
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations, standards and procedures; awareness of company general specifications and/or experience with major international oil companies or contractors is sought.
• Working knowledge of applicable oil-and-gas international codes, standards and industry practice; awareness of other disciplines and experience of significant responsibility in multidisciplinary teams/projects.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills, computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
