The Manager Operations Uganda ensures Glovo operates smoothly and sustainably across the market. The manager uses performance data to identify root causes, set priorities and drive improvements in customer experience, courier wellbeing and partner success.

The role owns courier supply balance, delivery experience and partner-operations metrics, standardises operating models across cities and acts as a strategic partner to General Managers and the Head of Supply Africa.

• Analyse operational data to identify trends, root causes and improvement priorities.
• Translate insights into action plans that improve delivery time, rider efficiency and cost performance.
• Hire, manage and develop a high-performing Operations team.
• Own operational performance metrics covering courier supply balance, delivery experience and partner operations.
• Understand and standardise scalable operating models across cities through supply readiness.
• Work with General Managers and the Head of Supply Africa on market priorities.
• Collaborate with global operations and cross-functional teams on tools, processes and product launches.
• Build relationships with courier communities and third-party fleet partners.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field.
• An MBA or equivalent postgraduate programme is a strong plus.

Work Experience

• Three to five years of experience in operations, consulting, logistics, marketplace operations or another fast-moving environment.
• Managerial experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience with KPI creation and tracking, delegation and marketplace or delivery business models.

Additional Requirements

• Strong analytical capability, problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
• SQL or advanced Excel skills are a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills, at B2+ level.
• Ability to negotiate with external partners and align multiple stakeholders.

Technical Skills

• Operational data analysis, dashboards and pivot tables.
• Courier supply, delivery experience and cost-performance metrics.
• KPI creation and tracking.
• SQL or advanced Excel is an advantage.
