Coffee Station and Orders

• Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment and locking up.
• Set up, stock and maintain work areas.
• Take orders, record them in the MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages.
• Switch appliances such as coffee makers on and off at the right times.
• Bus the coffee cart and tables and clean dishes, utensils and equipment throughout the day.

Cash Handling

• Input orders into the cash register and collect payment.
• Obtain change for the expected level of business.
• Count the bank at shift end, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies and secure the bank.

Guest Service and Safety

• Welcome guests to company standards and anticipate their needs.
• Follow company safety and security procedures and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Keep a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
• Do other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (UACE/S6 level or similar).
• No related work experience needed.
• No supervisory experience needed.
• No licence or certification needed.
• Able to stand, sit or walk for a full shift and lift up to 25 lb (about 11 kg) unaided.

Technical Skills

• POS systems: MICROS and cash register.
• Beverage preparation: Coffee and food.
• Cash handling: Banking and reports.
