About The Company
Sun King is an off-grid solar energy company that combines product design, fintech and field operations to bring affordable electricity to households and businesses without a reliable grid connection. It sells solar home systems, appliances, smartphones and clean cooking products on pay-as-you-go (PAYG) terms, so customers pay a small deposit and then make small daily payments through mobile money or cash until they own the equipment.
The company says 25 million homes and businesses rely on its products, that it has extended more than US$1.4 billion in PAYG loans, and that it employs about 3,500 full-time staff across 14 countries, with women making up 42% of its workforce. In Uganda, Sun King runs sales, collections and distribution through a large field network of agents.
About The Fraud Analyst Role
The Fraud Analyst sits in Sun King’s Corporate Risk department and protects the business from losses linked to fraud in its field and customer operations. Much of the job is investigative and hands-on. You will gather information on suspected cases, coordinate with field teams and the call centre, work with law-enforcement agencies, and stand as a company witness in field-related legal cases when needed. The role also includes regular reporting and educating staff about fraud and its effect on the business.

- Prepare and escalate regular field reports on fraud-related activity.
- Educate staff about fraud and its effect on the business.
