About The Role
The Graduate Trainee ICT will provide first-line support for ICT issues, resolve end-user problems quickly, and manage helpdesk tickets within agreed service levels. You will help manage company systems through regular updates, backups, and maintenance, and support hardware, software, and network issues across the office.
You will also train staff on using ICT tools safely, and track and manage the company’s hardware and software inventory. Performance is measured against clear targets: 95% of tickets resolved within SLA, 80%+ user satisfaction, 99.5%+ local network uptime, fewer than 2 incidents per user per quarter, 100% on-time backups and updates, and at least 2 training sessions per quarter.
Key Responsibilities
ICT Support
- Provide first-line support for ICT issues, resolving technical problems for end-users on time.
- Manage and monitor helpdesk tickets, ensuring resolution within SLA.
System Administration
- Assist in managing company systems, including regular updates, backups, and maintenance.
- Support hardware, software, and network issues.
User Training
- Train end-users on best practices for ICT tools and applications and on keeping systems secure.
ICT Asset Management
- Track and manage IT hardware and software inventories, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.
- Relevant ICT certifications.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICT, preferably within insurance or financial services.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of enterprise IT systems, networks, and infrastructure management.
- Exposure to cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data governance.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
