VVOB – education for development is an international organisation with more than 40 years of experience strengthening education systems in Africa, Asia and South America in partnership with ministries of education, with a focus on the professional development of teachers and school leaders. VVOB is hiring two Education Advisors (CPD) for its YES Green programme (2027–2031). The contract is fixed-term and linked to project funding, for up to five years with possible extension, starting from January 2027 subject to donor funding approval.

• Co-create continuous professional development opportunities with officially recognised CPD providers in Uganda and provide technical advice/capacity development.
• Collaborate with strategic education and MERL colleagues to guarantee quality, coherence and scalability of YES Green CPDs and education solutions.
• Co-create teaching and learning support materials with teachers and world-of-work actors, aligned with curriculum and YES Green solutions.
• Contribute to planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation to keep deliverables and results on track.
• Organise co-creation workshops and design CPD content for career talks, project-based learning and work-based learning.
• Coordinate enrolment, delivery schedules, assessment, certification, quality assurance and monitoring; review data and feedback and improve the CPD approach.
• Stay current on pedagogy, green agrifood, gender-responsive education and teacher professional development and turn insights into partner guidance.

• Master’s degree in Education, Human Sciences, or another relevant field, or equivalent through proven professional experience.
• At least three years of proven professional experience in teacher professional development for lower secondary education or lower TVET, including content development, blended delivery, quality assurance and accreditation.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Microsoft Office and digital collaboration platforms.
• Curious, self-motivated and disciplined; knowledge/practical familiarity with career talks, project-based learning and work-based learning.
• Desirable: blended CPD delivery, capacity-development methods, co-creation of teaching/learning materials, MERL data/reporting and lessons learned.

VVOB lists a gross monthly salary of €1,265–€2,097 and a remuneration package that includes a base salary and benefits, on a fixed-term contract linked to project funding.
