About The Company
Raising The Village (RTV) is a nonprofit working with last-mile communities to raise household incomes and sustain progress. Its Uganda-based work is part of a wider regional effort, with the organization describing a village-wide program that combines support for farming and other livelihoods with health, mindset and financial skills.
RTV says it works alongside communities and uses real-time data to shape, adapt and improve its programs. Its technology and data ecosystem supports the design and delivery of interventions intended to create lasting pathways out of ultra-poverty.
About The Deputy Manager Planning Role
The Deputy Manager, Planning coordinates the day-to-day delivery of the Planning function across RTV countries and supports the Manager, Planning & Design. The role turns organizational strategy, country growth goals and program priorities into practical implementation plans that align with operational capacity, financial resources, government requirements and performance targets. It coordinates annual, cycle-level and multi-year planning, expansion and country readiness, cross-functional inputs, scenario analysis and decision materials.
The post also strengthens planning systems, quality assurance, documentation and data-informed decisions, while leading and developing the Planning team. It tracks actions, dependencies and risks, escalates delays, and incorporates lessons from planning cycles and launches. The advert states a base in Mbarara with regional travel required and indicates 80% travel. However, the page header metadata lists Kampala, so the duty station is inconsistent; this post preserves the body-stated Mbarara base and leaves the district region unset.
