Clearing Officer Job Overview

Clearing Officer is open at KCB Bank Uganda in the Operations Department. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare outward clearing EFTs and cheques for onward settlement.
• Accurately post transactions initiated from Corporate, branches, CMU and reconciliation units such as URA, EAPS, UMEME and Centenary deposits.
• Verify and validate all RTGS-related transactions in the IHLD queue.
• Verify and call back on inward clearing and in-house cheques above UGX 5,000,000.
• Capture transactions accurately in RTGS, SWIFT, Sybrin, Direct Credit Engine, Hot Scan and MoPesa systems.
• Process mobile bulk payments through Airtel and MTN.
• Confirm inward and outward direct debit instructions and update them in Sybrin and schedules.
• Manage queries and close ECRM cases within the set SLA.
• Print instant cards initiated by branches.
• Action URA agency notices submitted to the KCB Bank queue on time.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• At least one year of branch banking experience (essential).
• At least one year of Bank of Uganda clearing experience (desirable).
