About The Programme
The Graduate Management Training Program is a 12-month intensive programme starting in January 2027 that will develop 10 high-potential graduates into Relationship Managers and future banking leaders. This is a universal programme: trainees will be placed based on business needs and assessment performance rather than individual department preferences, ensuring participants develop broad capabilities across diverse banking functions.
The programme offers five core components: structured foundational training in banking fundamentals, mentorship and career guidance from experienced banking professionals, cross-functional rotation across 3 core banking departments, a capstone end-of-programme business project solving real business challenges, and post-programme retention of up to 2 years based on performance with potential cross-country exchange opportunities within the I&M Group (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Mauritius). Upon completion, high-performing graduates may be retained for specific roles and further career development.

Eligibility Criteria
Academic Standing
- Bachelor’s degree with a First Class or Upper Second Class (2:1) Division.
- Credit passes in O-Level Mathematics and English.
- Credit pass in A-Level General Paper.
Recency
- Graduated within the last 2 years (2024, 2025, or 2026).
- Pending graduates with provisional transcripts or official university recommendations are eligible.
Target Disciplines
- Open to all academic backgrounds.
- Preference given to candidates with degrees in IT/Cybersecurity, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, any business-related course, and/or Agriculture.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to commit to working in the Central Region of Uganda for an uninterrupted 12-month training period.
