Platinum Credit Uganda Limited is a microfinance company founded in 2002, licensed under the Companies Act and regulated by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA). Its promise is fast emergency loans, often delivered within 24 hours with minimal paperwork.

The company serves civil servants, employees of selected private companies and business owners through products such as Civil Servant Loans, Logbook Finance, Private Sector Loans and SME Loans. It is part of a regional group operating in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania that employs over 1,000 staff and serves more than 100,000 customers.

In Uganda, Platinum Credit runs more than 40 branches nationwide from its head office at Prime Plaza on Jinja Road, Kampala.

As a Sales Team Leader for the Civil Servant Loans Product, you will lead the team that brings government employees to Platinum Credit. The product is an unsecured loan of up to UGX 30 million, repaid directly from the payroll over as long as 96 months, and is open to staff of local governments, ministries, the police, prisons, public universities and referral hospitals.

Your main job is building a strong team: recruiting, onboarding, training and keeping at least 8 Loans Officers every month. You will push daily lead generation in government offices and institutions, coach your officers in the field, make sure they stick to approved route plans, and track and report productivity every day, week and month.

• Recruit, onboard, train and retain a minimum of 8 Loans Officers each month.
• Drive daily lead generation, customer acquisition and sales conversion activities for the team.
• Supervise and monitor field teams to ensure they follow approved route plans, work schedules and operational guidelines.
• Conduct regular coaching, training and field support sessions to strengthen product knowledge, sales skills and performance.
• Track team productivity and sales results through daily, weekly and monthly performance reviews.
• Provide continuous feedback, motivation and performance improvement support to Loans Officers.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports on sales activities, recruitment performance, training conducted and team achievements.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism and high performance.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales or a related field.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ sales or marketing experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Additional Requirements

• Strong understanding of credit assessment, lending policies and customer acquisition processes.
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Technical Skills

• Team recruitment and onboarding: Hiring and training at least 8 Loans Officers each month.
• Sales management: Driving lead generation and conversions against monthly targets.
• Credit knowledge: Understanding credit assessment, lending policies and payroll-backed loans.
• Performance tracking: Running daily, weekly and monthly reviews.
• Reporting: Accurate reports on sales, recruitment and training.

Platinum Credit has not published the salary or benefits for this role. You would lead a team in an established, UMRA-regulated lender with branches across the country, with clear monthly targets that make your performance easy to see.
