Platinum Credit (U) Ltd is a microfinance company licensed under the Companies Act and regulated by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority (UMRA). It was founded in 2002.

It provides emergency loans to salaried and self-employed customers, financing civil servants, employees of selected private companies and the business community. It is a subsidiary of Platcorp Holdings Ltd.

The Telesales Officer drives sales growth through telephone engagement, delivering excellent customer experience and promoting the company’s financial products.

Sales and Service

• Engage potential customers by phone to promote loan products and generate sales.
• Source referrals from existing customers.
• Provide after-sales follow-up for satisfaction and retention.
• Maintain high customer service standards throughout the sales cycle.
• Support smooth onboarding of new customers.
• Address inquiries and resolve concerns promptly.
• Meet and exceed individual sales targets.

Education

• Minimum of a Diploma in Sales, Marketing or a business-related field from a recognised institution.

Experience

• At least 6 months of hands-on experience in telesales, customer service or a related role.
• Demonstrated ability to close sales.
• Proven ability to handle and resolve customer complaints.
• Residing in or near Bukoto, Kampala.

Technical Skills

• Telesales: Phone selling and closing.
• Computer and database: Logging calls and leads.
• Loan products: Explaining terms clearly.
• Complaint handling: Resolving issues on the call.

Soft Skills

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Persuasion: Strong negotiation.
• Resilience: Handling rejection.
• Target focus: Hitting daily numbers.
