About The Company

Stanbic Bank Uganda is one of the country’s largest commercial banks and a member of Standard Bank Group, Africa’s biggest banking group by assets, which operates across more than 20 African markets. In 2002 Stanbic acquired the state-owned Uganda Commercial Bank, which gave it one of the widest branch networks in Uganda.

The bank serves individuals, small and medium businesses, large corporates and government through Personal & Private Banking, Business & Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking. Its parent, Stanbic Uganda Holdings Limited, is listed on the Uganda Securities Exchange.

Stanbic is headquartered at Crested Towers on Hannington Road in Kampala. Its Business & Commercial Banking unit organises relationship teams by sector, so this role focuses on the health industry’s specific banking needs.

The job has four parts: deepening client relationships, winning new business and revenue across assets, liabilities, transactional banking and non-funded income, managing credit and risk through financial analysis and loan structuring, and running the portfolio against financial, service, compliance and risk targets. You will work closely with internal teams to deliver efficient service and keep excesses, arrears and revenue leakages to a minimum.
