About The Company
Salaam Bank Limited is part of the Salaam Group, an Islamic finance group headquartered in Djibouti City. It entered Uganda by acquiring Top Finance Bank, and on 8 September 2023 the Bank of Uganda issued it the country’s first Islamic banking licence.
President Yoweri Museveni officially launched the bank in March 2024. Salaam Bank offers Sharia-compliant banking, which avoids interest and speculation and focuses on ethical, asset-backed finance. It serves both Muslim and non-Muslim customers.
The bank is regulated by the Bank of Uganda, and customer deposits are protected by the Deposit Protection Fund up to UGX 10 million. Its head office is at Plot 2-4A Nakasero Road, Kampala, and its slogan is “Empowering Communities, Inspiring Change.”
About The Role
This recruitment covers Salaam Bank’s team in Mbale, from leadership to the front line. The Branch Manager and two Branch Supervisors will lead the team, while six Banking Officers will serve customers at the counter as tellers and customer service officers. One Relationship Manager and two Relationship Officers will manage customer accounts and grow the bank’s business, and five Sales Agents will bring in new customers.
Because the advert lists only the job titles and numbers, applicants should match their experience to the role they choose and say clearly in their cover letter why they fit it.
