About The Company

C-Care Uganda is the country’s largest private healthcare network. It grew out of International Medical Group, founded by Dr Ian Clarke, which built International Hospital Kampala (IHK) in Namuwongo and the International Medical Centre (IMC) clinic chain. In 2014 CIEL Healthcare, part of Mauritius’s diversified CIEL Group, acquired a majority stake, and in 2022 the Ugandan businesses were rebranded as C-Care IHK, C-Care IMC, C-Lab and C-Pharma.

About The Role

As Accountant for C-Care IMC in Mbale, you will keep the facility’s money accurately recorded and controlled. Day to day you will maintain ledgers, record and reconcile daily income from cash, bank, insurance, corporate and patient payments, monitor patient billing and receivables, verify invoices and purchase orders, and process supplier payments under approved procedures.

Month to month you will prepare reconciliations, financial reports and budget tracking, account for medicines, medical supplies and fixed assets, support payroll accounting and file statutory tax returns, while working with internal and external auditors. Based in Mbale, the commercial hub of the Elgon sub-region in Eastern Uganda, you will be the finance anchor for C-Care’s operations there, and healthcare accounting, especially insurance claims and patient receivables, is a valuable specialisation to build.
