About The Role
The Customer Service Agent sits in MOGO’s Customer Experience Vehicles team, the unit that looks after customers who have financed a vehicle or taken a logbook loan. Day to day you will keep track of upcoming and outstanding instalments, call customers before and after due dates, and agree extended repayment plans where a customer is struggling. You will also monitor financed assets through tracking software and report suspicious events.
It is a blend of customer care and soft collections. You will answer questions and complaints, update account status and the database, flag customers who are unwilling or unable to pay, and support legal action by providing accurate information when needed. Because you see recurring problems first, you are also expected to spot gaps in the system and suggest fixes.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep tracking upcoming and outstanding debts and contact customers appropriately.
- Contact debtors to follow up and implement extended repayment plans.
- Track the financed assets using the tracking software and report any suspicious events.
- Handle customers’ questions and complaints.
- Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions.
- Update account status and the database regularly.
- Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary and in a timely manner.
- Follow legal and company procedures in debt collections and assist the company to take legal action against debtors by providing necessary information.
