About The Company
Yongeza Capital is a Ugandan e-mobility infrastructure company that builds and runs battery swap stations for electric motorcycles. It launched its swap network in June 2024 and describes itself as Africa’s first dedicated property manager for e-mobility swap infrastructure: it secures sites, signs the leases, builds the stations, staffs them with trained attendants and manages energy supply, so electric motorcycle makers and fleet operators can focus on deploying bikes.
The company’s model is shared, multi-brand infrastructure. It has partnered with Spiro (2024) and Zembo (2026) so their riders can swap at Yongeza stations, and with Oryx Energies to place swap points at Oryx fuel stations. It reports more than 50 active stations, with its densest cluster in Kampala and sites in Masaka, Lyantonde, Mbarara and Jinja, and stations are monitored in real time from a Network Operations Centre.
About The Role
As a Swap Station Attendant, you will be the face of Yongeza at your station. Electric boda boda riders pull in with a flat battery and leave with a fully charged one in a couple of minutes, and you make that happen: guiding riders through the swap, handling batteries carefully, answering questions and making sure every rider leaves satisfied. You will also give basic technical support when riders have problems.
Behind the counter you will keep the station’s equipment working, track the battery and supplies inventory, and follow safety and compliance procedures for handling high-capacity batteries and electrical equipment. Yongeza is recruiting at more than 40 locations, and the advert requires you to live close to the station you apply for, so this is a local job in your own neighbourhood with a growing clean-energy company.
